Perkembangan Doktrin Inkarnasi Kristus: Misteri Iman dan Dasar Keselamatan Manusia

Abstract
Tujuan dari tulisan ini adalah untuk menjelaskan perkembangan pemikiran doktrin mengenai inkarnasi Kristus dalam sejarah Gereja dan memberi landasan biblika yang terkait dengan doktrin tersebut. Beberapa pilihan secara selektif mengenai pemikiran dari para teolog tertentu, baik yang mendukung maupun tidak, dalam abad-abad awal sejarah Gereja dan masa sesudahnya, akan diambil untuk menjelaskan doktrin inkarnasi tersebut. Namun demikian sasaran yang mau dicapai adalah untuk memperkuat doktrin mengenai inkarnasi Kristus yang terkait keselamatan dan misteri iman. Dalam pemaparan tulisan ini metode yang digunakan adalah melalui penjelasan dari perspektif teologi historis (historical theology) dari beberapa hasil pemikiran teologi Patristik dan Konsili-Konsili tertentu serta landasan biblika yang diambil secara selektif untuk mendukung pengajaran mengenai inkarnasi. Pernyataan tesisnya adalah doktrin inkarnasi merupakan pengajaran fundamental iman Kristen dan ini diperkuat melalui tradisi Gereja (historical theology) dan landasan biblika yang kuat.
