Author Guidelines

  1. Manuscripts are the result of field research or conceptual studies in the field of music, and have not been published or reviewed for possible publication in other journals.
  2. Manuscripts are written in Indonesian or English. Articles are 10-20 pages long, typed with 1.5 spacing on quarto (A4) paper using a single-column format, with margins of 3 cm at the top, 3 cm on the left, 2.5 cm at the bottom, and 2.5 cm on the right. The font used is Times New Roman.
  3. The systematic writing of articles must be based on the template and author guidelines.
  4. The citation and bibliography system uses the APA (American Psychological Association) format. The bibliography must appear at the end of the article and only include literature that is actually cited in the manuscript. The bibliography is arranged alphabetically and chronologically.
  5. Citations and bibliographic styles must be automatically generated using a Reference Manager (Mendeley, EndNote, Zotero) in APA citation style.
  6. All citations must be in parentheses/in-text citations, NOT in footnotes.
  7. Any notes may appear in footnotes.
  8. Submissions that violate our formatting guidelines will be rejected without review.

Submission Preparation Checklist

  • Manuscripts must be the result of field research or conceptual studies in the field of music, and must not have been published or reviewed for possible publication in other journals or media.

  • If this statement is later found to be untrue, the author is willing to accept sanctions in accordance with applicable regulations.
  • The manuscript is the author's original work and is not plagiarized from another person's article, either in part or in whole.
